I THINK THAT THEHOMEPAGE IS GREAT AND THERE WAS ALOT OF WORK PUT INTO IT. I HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE WHO THINK SOMEONE IS HATING ON THEM NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT THEY REALLY DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO HATE ON. I'M STEADY LIVING MY LIFE AND AVOIDING THE SORT OF PEOPLE WHO THINKS THEY HAVE SOMETHING THAT I DON'T HAVE OR THINKS SOMEONE HAS TO HATE ON THEM. STILL HERE REPRESENTING THAT 2DOUBLE02.OH, YEAH I CAN'T FORGET ABOUT MY GIRL MS. RACHELL LEE.PEACE OUT TO THE PEOPLE THAT WANTS TO BE HATED ON. MUCH LOVE TO THE REST OF YA'LL PEEPS. MS. Mr. Martel keep up the good work. NCHS is still the best.

Martell, Making my usual stop. Great job! Hope you have a Happy New Year.
NCHS is still the bomb no matter what anyone says. We will always have the best ban in the land and we owe it all to our former band teacher Mr. Thaddeus Vondedrick Johnson who raised us and to our present band teacher Mr. K. Jean. Keep up the good work Hurricanes. Much Luv to Ya. In Loving Memory of Mr. Thaddeus Vondedrick Johnson Gone but not forgotten Forever in our hearts, minds, and souls We will always love you.
N. C. H. S. IS DAH BOMB
Hi Mr. Martel and everybody else, I just wanted to congratulate you guys on having a great web page. Keep up the good work. Also, I wanted to mention that I'm getting married June 10, 2000 to Mark Roberts, also in the Class of '93 (the best). Oh, and I wanted to clarify for Jonathon Rideau that he was NOT the first male val in North Central's history. That was Jermaine Johnson of the first graduating class from NCHS (c/o '91), to be followed by Dinardo Bazile (c/o '92).
Well, I'm a senior this year and it's a lot better when you'r a senior rather than a jr. or sof-more because administater's don't give you that bad of a hard time. But the thing i like best is that once you become a senior you know to get around just about anything, but it takes alot of "getting caught" to figure out when is a good time to skip school, cheat, ect. But all-n-all this a pretty good school. Mr. Wates is our new principal this year. Alot of people say he's changed alot when he became principal but I don't blame the man because he gets paid alot more to act alot stricter. And plus being a pricipal is a stressful job beause he has to put up with people like me all the time.
The page is always good. Just wanted to second Sherika's motion on the fact that I think that our class, the class of '96, needs to be posted on the website. Especially our football team who that year went to the play-offs for the first time ever and never have been since. Need's to mention that year that I was the first male val in North Central's history. It needs to mention that our track team went to state that year and won some events. It needs to mention that it was the first year of principal Duplechian's reign as principal at North Central. We are the first class to start off in seventh grade and go on through the 12th. Just wanted to say that. Also wanted to give shots out to the class of 2000. I feel you, I am graduating in December 2000 myself. May the peace of the Lord and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit rest rule in your life until we all meet again. J.R.

Mr. Martel the school is looking great. I must apologize because I told you that I would stop by the school when I was home. I guess I just got overwhelmed with being with my family but I will be home on the 19th of December and I will stop by my North Central to see you guys. Well take care until we speak again. Love Ruby
Hey Mr. Martel, The pictures look great. How was your holiday? Mine went pretty good. I got to see my grandmother, I only get to see her about once a year. School is going a lot better than it was a week ago, I really needed that little four day weekend, that is all that we had off. We do get a break next week, and I am ready for it. Well, I am going to have to go so that I can go to class. See ya Jessica Landry
Mr. Martel, I just wanted to say Hi. How have you been doing lately? Good I hope. I have been so busy with school and work lately I feel like I am going crazy. Well, I just wanted to say Hi. I guess I should get back to class. See Ya Jessica Landry
HI:WUZ UP THIS IS MEKA JUST WRITING TO LET U KNOW THAT I'VE BEEN THROUGH HERE! WELL CONGRATULATIONS TO THE "SENIOR CLASS OF 2000" PEACE OUT MY PEEPS :-
I think the website is great, but it is missing one important. There is nothing about the class of '96 on the website and because I am a member of the class of '96 graduates I think we should be remembered as well. We were the first and only seventh grade class at North Central. Which means we were there the longest.
Still looking good at NCHS! Miss ya'll alot. Tell everyone I said that NCHS is still the best high school in the parish! Good luck with all of your activities and contest! Great job Mr. Martel. Keep up the wonderful things you do for the school. Love my new job,but I miss my kids, parents and the staff at NCHS. Will be in touch soon. Probably during basketball season. Tell the band students to treat Mr. Jean with respect and make him feel welcome. He will be one of the best and was one of my best students at Beau Chene .He loves band and people! Missing ya'll!!! Good Luck and work hard for what you want, no one will give it to you---to the best band in the land, LUV YA --- Mr. J.
Still looking good at NCHS! Miss ya'll alot.Tell everyone I said that NCHS is still the best high school in the parish! Good luck with all of your activities and contest!Mr. J.
I think that Northcental is a very good township school.
I think you did a fine job with the homepage. I just want to tell all the students to work hard for everything they want out of life. And I'm sorry for the lost they have suffered through the years. May they all rest in peace!!!
I think you did a fine job with the homepage.
I think this is a neat website for North Central.
I like it! I know a few North Central people from ffa and they are the coolest! nice page, keep up the good work and good luck
I really miss NCHS alot. Please tell my co-workers I said hello and thanks for keeping me in their prayers. Tell my daughter Kendra one of the many silly seniors that she better be good and keep her grades up. Hope to see everyone soon. Good Luck Class of 2000 !!! =)
Mr. Martel, Glad to see you still hold the NCHS hurricanes high. I can not thank you enough for the seed you sowed in me way back in '94. Now here I am, five years later, successful, making over 56k a year. I am living proof that dreams do come true. Tell my little cousin Desmond Earl Rideau that I said hello. I am glad to hear some positive things about the school. I hear people who have just graduated talk about it so bad. They give me the impression that it is a mad house. I understand though, "people fear what they don't understand, hate what they can not defeat". I just wanted to leave your students with a little poem to help them when times seem impossible. Invictus Out of the night that covers me Black as the pit from pole to pole. I thank whatever god maybe For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not wenced or cried aloud Under the blugendings of chance My head is bloody but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the horrors of the shade And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid It matters not how straight the gate How charged with punishment the scroll I am the master of my faith I am the captain of my soul Remember always these words: Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ Jesus, which strengthens me." Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen." Love always, Johnathan Demond Rideau, E.E.T.E. Alcatel, USA Adv. Man. Eng.
Hey Mr. Martel, I just wanted to say hello. How have you been doing? Good I hope. Things my way couldn't be any better. I am enjoying school very much. I just got through taking a test. Well, I really have to be going. See Ya. Jessica Landry

I think that the Web page set up for NCHS is very informative. I enjoyed looking at it and reading about North Central High School. Keep up the good work, Mr. Martel.
I am writing to give you information regarding our program and how we might be of assistance to you and your school. The AmeriCorpsNational Civilian Community Corps (AmeriCorpsNCCC) is looking to partner with public schools in the Southeast. The AmeriCorpsNCCC is a residential service program for young adults between the ages of 18-24 who are led by a Team Leader and travel to communities in teams of ten to twelve members. The teams work in the areas of the education, environment, unmet human needs, and public safety. There are five regional NCCC campuses throughout the country, and the Southeast campus is in Charleston, South Carolina. AmeriCorpsNCCC teams have worked in many public schools throughout the Southeast. Louisiana is currently one of our priority states. AmeriCorpsNCCC teams have cut nature trails, painted educational murals, tutored children, developed athletic programs, refurbished school buildings and more. A team typically works at a school for eight weeks. Shorter terms of service are possible, and a sponsor may request different teams to rotate in every eight weeks for longer terms of service. There is no charge for the labor or transportation of AmeriCorpsNCCC teams. A place for team members to sleep and shower is requested of the sponsor. Assistance with food is also appreciated. If the school is unable to provide food, then a full kitchen is requested so that the team can purchase and prepare their meals. All NCCC team members receive a federal background check that ensures their suitability of working with children. In many cases, several schools in close proximity will host a team and divide the team members among them. The Southeast AmeriCorpsNCCC campus serves Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. If you are interested in the services of a team of dedicated young adults, please contact me at the Southeast campus. My phone number is (843) 743-8600, ext. 3008. My email is mherring@cns.gov mailto:mherring@cns.gov. Sincerely, Mikel Herrington Mikel L. Hello Martel, I just stopped in to see how thing are going at the mighty NCHS. It's my opinion that things are going well. I hope that you and the faculty members have a wonder school year. I heard about the lost of Mr. T. Johnson, but I am sure it is better for his future. He was one great, talented, teacher like so many others at NCHS, including yourself. He'll be missed, but all good things must come to an end. Take care, until the next time. Augusta

I love your site. I only wish that Morrow High School didn't burn down and that it had a web site. I'd love to be able to find all my classmates from 1977. In the last month, I did run into two of my classmates that I haven't seen since graduation and that was great. If only I could run into and find the rest of them. If you know anyone who graduated from Morrow High School in 1977, please tell them to contact me. My mom hasn't moved and they should be able to contact me through her. I (and my best friend, Pam Rolen) would love for all of us to get together for a class reunion.
I go to North Central High School in Kershaw South Carolina. It is in Kershaw County. The districts website it located at http://www.kershaw.k12.sc.us
Just dropping in to see who wrote what since the last time I visited this page. I'm really checking to see of Mrs. Bush reads this page and remembers me. Hey Mrs. Bush! Remember when FBLA went to state in Typing?
I think your website is great and I'm very happy and pleased that I was able to find it. I was searching for any website that could link me to the school I graduated from, Morrow High School, and was very pleased to see that Marie Bush won teacher of the year. She was my teacher at Morrow High and because of her dedication to me, I am very happy with my career as a Legal Secretary for the President of a law firm here in Houston. Mrs. Bush had the utmost confidence in my ability and that confidence is what I reflect on a daily basis. Please make sure Mrs. Bush reads my comments. I would love to hear from her.

I think that it is good that the school has a website. I think it makes the school look very good.
I think that this is good for the school to have a web page.
Ledricka Johnson did not write the poem, "There is a reason for everything." That poem was written by Helen Steiner Rice.

I see changes are occurring and its time for our children in the area to catch and keep up with the rest of the United States. I very proud to tell everyone I meet in my walk of life about how far the community has progess. Continued success and May God Bless You

What's up Mr.Martel. I guess you thought you would never here from me again. Well I have been kind of busy with my studies. Nursing is not an easy major. I have some difficult classes, all but English. I guess I should probably thank you for always pushing me in Upward Bound after school to write. I have excellent grades in English. I am currently taken my third English course. My professors are very impress with my writing technique. I would just like to say that I like the homepage, but I think you should have left the picture of last year's Upward Bound group on the page as wellsince we were the best group ever. I would also like you to push Emma and Angela the same you did me. Could you give my yearbook to one of them because I don't know when I'm going to make it back to NCHS. Also Brandi, Dana, and Bridget would like to say hello. We are all here at USL. Marcus decided to attend Southern instead, and Keisha is suppose to come back to school next semester.

I love it!! Paul, you did a great job! Let me in on the next project. I'll be that computer guy down the hall doing math problems. Johnnie Johnson

LOVE THE NEW PAGE!!!!!!!!
i think that yall have a pretty thight school
It works.
I love the new page. This is Johnathan Rideau writing from State Farm Insurance Corporate South Bloomingtom, Illinois. I have been interning here for about six weeks now. I graduated from North Central back in '96. I never knew two years later I would be here working for State Farm making 1000 dollars a week. A word of encouragement to my fellow North Central High Schoolers. Don't sell yourselves short in your career decisions. Reach for the stars. Five years ago I didn't know what telecommunications engineering/computer engineering was. Today I am working on a Telecommunications network as large as ATT's network. We like to call it the Enterprise System. State Farm has a future for just about anyone in any feild. We have doctors, lawyers, accountants, engineers, computer science, computer technicians, teachers, mathematician, data processers, nurses, electricians, consultants, and many more feilds to offer. When you all go to college, consider interning with State Farm Corporate for one summer. Bloomington is large and centrally located. Chicago, home of the bulls, Idiana, home of Pacers, and St. Louis, home of the Cardinals, are all just two hours away. Peoria, Tuscola, Bloomington, and Champaigne have a total of 16 Malls and Factory Outlets between them. It is also Omish country. It is also home of the historic Constitution Trail. I myself may just make Bloomington my home and would like to see couple of other people from North Central doing the same thing. Another thing, the crime rate is about 1%. People leave there doors unlocked and windows down in their cars when they go into the stores and at their homes. It is a culturally diverse town and a great place to raise kids. But anyway, I am glad to see that North Central is still on the rise and that my girl Shimike Johnson is still representing. Continue to rise forever, like Mya meant when she said "I rise". I meaning we. One love, Johnathan D. Rideau Network Operating Systems
I think I need to drop by and see how my old school is doing - I haven't been there in quite some time!
It works
Hello Mr Martel and Northcentral Glad to see everything is going well at NCHS. I enjoyed the remarks made by former students and others. Hope that your Summer goes great and that your up coming school year is the best every. wadsworth Johnson -former staff member
NCHS is one of the best schools in St. Landry Parish. I know because I'm there everyday. Martel, you have done a wonderful job in letting the world know that North Central is a proud, positively functioning institution of learning. We maybe a small school, but our focus is on the education of our children and their wholesome development. Many thanks to Mr. Raymond Duplechain, Principal, Mr. Martel and students. Augusta Rideau.

YOU GUYS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB OVER AT THE SCHOOL. I WENT TO PALMETTO HIGH. I NEVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF GOING TO NORTH CENTRAL. I WISH THE SCHOOL A LOT OF SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE. TELL K. THOMAS THAT CAR MILLER SAID HI!!
Had this to say about our page:
Great page! I was looking for cities w/my last name"LeBeau" and there you were. I read your guestbooks and found other people from Yakima, Kennewick, and Spokane had visited your page. Keep up the terrific work Teachers and Students !!
IT'S GREAT!! I WAS ONCE A STUDENT THERE AND IT'S NICE TO SEE THAT YOU HAVE COME TO MODERN TECHNOLOGY. MOST HIGH SCHOOLS IN LA. DON'T HAVE A HOME PAGE. WELL TELL SHAWANDA COLLINS AND EVERYBODY ELSE THAT MABLE SAID HELLO. LATER....
Your home page is really great. I enjoy looking back at my old home town. Hi everybody! Mr. Haynes glad to see you at still around. Well, see ya' people soon.
Hello! Very nice page! We are still quite new to the WWW, but we are learning. I found you by surfing. I am spamming! I have found incredible pages and people. This is just an update note on what we are doing and a chance for me to see what the rest of the country is doing. We are looking for new ideas and ways to present ourselves on the www. Keep your efforts going. You might want to take a look at us. We are located at: http://www.muohio.edu/~bomholfj/ We have a new Mac lab, (26 LC 5200s/16RAM-CCC Software for Proficiency intervention) and maybe twelve other Macs scattered through the building. We have one machine and one phone line (non-dedicated) available for the net. I came into computing through the back door of desktop publishing. I inherited two Apple IIes by default(no one else wanted them!) I taught myself how to use them and began an insane project. I included all 150 of my seventh grade students in a writing project we named Eagle Tales. We published 600 copies of a 300 page book. We had help the first year from a mom and pop print shop run by a students family. The next year Champion paper, followed by ATT, and American Printing Lithographic(local). The book went out for four years. The students sold copies for $3.00/copy-we took the money and bought other computers. We recieved some small help from the Kroger Company, Office Depot, and Beckett Paper. This brought in a Mac LCII, LCIII, LC520, LC550,and an LC575. We also purchased a Scanner, Quick Take, Quick Cam, and a closet full of software. Microsoft donated a site license for Word 5.1a. I no longer do this project-I run the lab. However, we do put out a ten page newspaper each week, and we now have our own web page. We hope to expand on it and I am surfing other middle school pages for ideas. I have no original thoughts-I steal everything. Thanks for your ideas! I now teach a three week workshop on Macs and desktop publishing with Al Frager at Miami University (Ohio) in the summers. We are entering our third year and hope to expand this as well. I am also in the process of setting up a regularly scheduled video conferencing link with Champion International They are our special partner. (see link on our home page) We plan to put our 9th grade career students in front of the computer and link with Champion in Hamilton, Oh, Denver, CO, Stamford CT etc. Our students will make contact with people actually on the job at Champion. Incredible possibilities! Live long and prosper! e-mail: bomholfj@miavx1.muohio.edu Frank Bomholt
Mr. Martel, this is Johnathan. I would like to drop you all a line to let you know that I am doing fine. I have completed my third semester at USL. Thanks to Upward Bound my Grade Point Average this semester is a 3.6. My grades were: Calculas II A History 355 A Physics 201 B CMPS 150 B PEDA 157 A I have an overall gradepoint average of 3.33 and in my major my grade point average is 3.33. I would also like to congradulate all the graduating seniors of 1997. To all the Seniors of 97: The road is rough and long. Sometimes seemingly inponderable. When you get your independence is not when you graduate and go to college, it is when you graduate from college. Don't think just because you have graduated it is over, for the war is far from over. People go through life searching for inner peace and satisfaction which comes through knowledge of self. When you are certain that your place in society is where you want it to be then nothing can hinder you from acheiving your goals. Upward Bound Seniors, when you get here, be prepared to work. Be prepared to experience things naturally uncommon to your nature. Don't let the clubs on the strip overtake the reason why you have come here in the first place and that is to get your education. There are going to be parties virtually every night, please don't get hooked. For those of you who like to dance, Renard, stay in your books and dance later. You all come to USL this summer and make North Central and your families proud of you. Let's start an academic of successful graduating seniors at North Centtral High's Upward Bound Program. We are the future. Thanks, Johnathan Rideau Senior '96 Val. and U.B.
Just checking out the new mail. I visit often. Great page. Sure would like to hear from all past graduates. A little about what they are doing and so on. All the best.
I was born in Opelousas, but am now in Maryland working for you (in a government capacity). It's nice to see reminders of home on the net. I have fond memories of LeBeau as I grew up, visiting relatives from my mother's side of the family. Thanx for the little touch of home
Good job, Mr. Martel. I bet you know who I am. Also, I viewed your personal web page. Very, nice!!
Great home page! I'm a 1969 graduate of Melville High School and my wife graduated from MHS in 1973. My wife's parents, George and Rusty Nichols, both taught in Melville, and I think may have taught briefly at North Central. Keep up the great work!!
This is great. I graduated from North Central in '94. It's nice to see a little school like this one the internet especially since it is the school I went to. Tell Bobby Jack and all the coaches I said HI.
Interesting site. Spend about 20 minutes travelling through it. Good Work!
Good job guys. Great to see so much advanced technology on board at NCHS.
GREAT!! I have visited Lebeau many times. I love it there. My parents were both born and raised in that area (Palmetto) North Central seems like a great place to go to school.
I actually was looking up stuff that might have had my high school in it. I graduated from North Central High School (the Kansas one that is). It's made up of three towns in north central Kansas: Haddam, Mahaska, and Morrowville. The grade school is in Haddam while the high school is in Morrowville. When I was a senior there were 49 students in the H.S. Now there's 62. Our mascot is the cougar and our colors are red, white, and blueI thought it was neat that there are more than 1 North Central out there.
What caught my interest in your page was the school title. I am a senior at NCHS in Spokane, WA and was looking for my school's page on the net. You might be able to imagine my surprise to find another NCHS in the USA. I plan on visiting here often to check on you. My NC has a population of about 1600, so it will be interesting to see the contrast in our two NCHS's due to their different sizes.
Hello Mr. Martel and students of North Central High School. It is Saturday Jan 18 and I am sitting in the computer lab at the conference center getting aquainted with my UNIX based system so I decided to give you all a ring. Right now Im taking a break from C++. C++ is the new program language of used in the business today. Four-tran and Pascal have become outdated. But anyway I would just like to congradulate North Central High School for making themselves known to the rest of the world. I have friends who have ran across you all on the net. When they ran across you all, they were shocked to see our little "country school"(as they call it) on the ciber information highway. Again I just want to thank you Mr. Martel for all you are doing for the students and for all you have done for me in the past. Keep in touch love you all. Hey tell Marcus Blueitt, Kenneth Doucet, and all of the UPWARD BOUND STUDENTS I said hello. bye. ASALAAM ALAIKUM!!!

I was surfing the web yesterday and came across your web site . I work for a company called Logal Software, Inc. located in Cambridge Massachusetts. We design, create, publish and market interactive simulation-based, educational software and laboratory probeware products for science and math curriculums in middle schools, high schools and colleges. Our software is based on a constructivist approach to learning. Have you heard of Logal Software from attending any conferences or from other school districts that are using our products? Are you looking for new software to add to your curriculum in the middle and high schools? Our science software covers 3 areas: physics, chemistry and biology. We have several simulation models in each area. I would like to send you further information about our products if you are interested. You can also access our web page which will give you information about our products, pricing, new products that will be available, etc. We even have an interactive version of Function Investigator available for you to try. This model is part of the Tangible Math series. By the end of next week, we will also have an interactive version of WAVES (physics model) available. We even have a demo disk of Molecular Biology which seems to be a hot topic lately. Our web address is: http://www.logal.com Please let me know if you'd be interested in hearing more. Best regards, Dennis O'Callaghan Logal Software 1-800-564-2587 ext 161

I am sort of computer illiterate so I think this
is a neat thing. I'm all the way from the middle
of Washington State. For those of you who have
never been here you should visit, at least on the
Net. Click on WA and go to Eisenhower (Ike) in
Yakima. Can you tell I have a lot of school spirit?

Mr. Martel:
Very nice work in what you've done there at NCHS.
It's a shame that I left.
Please give my best regards to all your budding
young HTML writers.
Until later,

Hi, I'm from Opelousas and was surfing the net and came upon your page. It was nice to read about something familiar. I was a sportswriter with the Opelousas Daily World in the early 80s, before your school existed, but still like to keep in touch with what's going on in the sports scene there. I'm currently in the Air Force as a magazine editor stationed in Seoul Korea.
Keep up the good work, and if you know of other local home pages, please send me the URL for their home pages. I would really appreciate it, particularly schools in Opelousas, Grand Coteau, Eunice, et.
Thanks
Ron
