Melissa is committed and dedicated to the teaching profession. Her philosophy for teaching includes many different ideas, but her favorite is this metaphorical idea that "teaching is planting a seed and watching it grow". She believes, as teachers, we plant, fertilize, and cultivate knowledge in the minds of our students. The final outcome of all the work we instill into students is when we see or hear of them becoming successful and productive adults. Melissa believes every student can excel in life by keeping a positive attitude toward education. She strongly believes education is the key to success. Some of Melissas hobbies include reading, traveling, shopping, interior decorating, and making flower arrangements. However, most of her free time is spent with her family, friends, and her pet cat. |
