At the end of the Upward Bound Summer Program on the campus of the University of Louisiana, a special Awards Night was held to recognize students for their achievements.
Students from North Central received their various awards; however, I was unable to attend and take pictures. Well, maybe next summer.
Since Quinesha was unable to be present to recieve her awards on Award Night, Mrs. Connie Broussard, Upward Bound Coordinator, presented them to her at North Central. This time I was there with my camera, and I was able to get the shot.
Quinesha was presented with three awards, Most Improved in Geometry, Most Improved in American Literature, and Most Improved in Vocabulary Development. This is just the beginning of a bright future for this young lady from North Central, and hopefully she will receive many more awards on UL's campus or another college campus as she goes forward to earn her college degree one day.
