Jamie Tanner with assistant track coach Wayne Jordan. Jamie claimed three first places and Outstanding Field Honors at the District 6-1A Meet held at Basile High School on Tuesday, April 18, 2000. Tanner was first in the long jump (20-9), triple jump (42-0 1/2) and high jump (6-0). His efforts helped NCHS to finish third in the boys' meet.

NCHS Girls Track Team took second place district 6-1A. Desiree Comeaux finished second in the 200-meter dash and running anchor helped the Lady Hurricanes finish first in the 4x100 relay. The team finished second in the 4x200. |
