Coleman named Player of the Week By Tom Dodge tdodge@dailyworld.com EUNICE - While the North Central Lady Hurricanes and the Eunice Bobcats grabbed the St. Landry Parish tournament titles this past weekend, there was plenty of quality basketball played all week. Hurricane standout Errick Coleman exploded for 26 points in North Central's 93-83 loss to Westgate in the Beau Chene tournament. Coleman also scored 22 points in the Hurricanes' 80-55 win over Port Barre in the parish tournament. Coleman scored 21 points in North Central's 55-54 win over Beau Chene. For his efforts for the week, Coleman was selected the Daily World Player of the Week for Dec. 11-18. Coleman selected Player of the Week (Again) By Tom Dodge tdodge@dailyworld.com North Central's Errick Coleman scorched the nets for 30 points in the Hurricanes' 59-54 tournament win over Beau Chene. He scored 16 of the Hurricanes' final 18 points against the Gators. Against OHS, Coleman opened the game with two 3-pointers and finished with 20 points as North Central won 52-46. For his efforts, Coleman was selected as the Daily World Player of the Week for Dec. 25-31 Donisha Durisseau scored 23 points to help lead the North Central Lady Hurricanes to a 49-38 win over Northwest in the girls championship game of the Beau Chene tournament.
