According to North Central head coach, Vanessa Taylor, "We went to a different press than they were not expecting and it really disrupted their offensive game. Our press allowed us to get a lot of turnovers and score a lot in the second quarter. I wanted to stay in the press a little longer but a couple of our girls got into foul trouble and we had to pull back into our half court defense."

With the win, the Lady Hurricanes host Episcopal High School of Baton Rouge Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Lebeau.
