Homecoming Coronation Night

Homecoming Court

North Central High School held its first Homecoming Coronation Night on Oct. 15, 1997 at 7 P.M. in the school auditorium. As Mr. Damien Gordon narrated, ladies of the homecoming court were escorted to center stage by members of the football team and then promenaded out beyond the stage onto a special platform where they curtsied and bowed to the applause of parents, teachers, and guests. These young ladies, a vision of grace and loveliness, glided in their beautiful gowns to the accompaniment of music provided by the Spiritualettes. The elegant ceremony was enlivened from time to time by energetic performances of the NCHS Dance Team. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Queen's court and the crowning of senior Tyronica Christmas as North Central's Homecoming Queen for 1997 by Principal Raymond Duplechain.
