    North Central High School celebrated American Education Week November 12-16. The students and teachers participated in numerous activities which depicted the theme,"We Are A School Where the Students Excel, and Parents and Community Care." Approximately 70 students in grades 8-10 participated in an essay contest and 9 in the poster contest.

Ninth grade winners were
1st Billie Duplechain

3rd Alicia Edwards

Tenth grade winners were
1st Jessica Martin
2nd Nikki Ducote
3rd Hunter Smith

    All first place winners competed in the parish contest sponsored by the Louisiana Association of Educators. Each participant received the following ratings. In eighth grade Melissa Boudreaux placed third, in ninth grade Billie Duplechain placed first, and in tenth grade Jessica Martin placed second. These students will receive their awards at the School Board Meeting which will be held on December.
