St. Landry Parish Bridge Breaking Competition
The St. Landry Parish Gifted Program (E.A.G.L.E.) held its Bridge Breaking Competition on Wednesday, April 29th. This was a culmination to a unit on architecture. Students built bridges using toothpicks and glue. The bridges were judged on the plans and the bridge correlation, economy of the bridge, neatness of design, and strength. Weights were added to each bridge until each one was broken to determine its maximum weight capacity.
Holding the bridge submitted by North Central's gifted students are student, Sarah Baker and instructor, Mrs. Julia Duplechain
