Just Say No!
On Wednesday, Dec17, 1997,The Toastmasters from Lafayette Community Correctional Center made a special presentation to juniors and seniors here. Individuals shared their experiences with drugs and alcohol and how this had affected their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Some of theToastmasters became entertaining allegorical characters such as Peer Pressure, Alcohol, and Marijuana but with a serious message of the dangers involved in using them. The program concluded with one member sharing his experience of how drugs had ruined his life and singing a song of hope to the young people not to do as he had done.
