NCHS Ring Ceremony

The class of 1997 held the school's first Ring Ceremony on Tuesday evening, April 23, at 7:30 in the school auditorium. Fifteen juniors were joined by their parents, friends, and faculty members for the joyous occasion. Students were presented their rings by the person of their choice after marching through a fifteen foot inflatable ring provided by Sue Girouard and the Herff Jones Company. Reverend Dale Fontenot was on hand to bless the rings. Reynard Eaglin gave the welcome address. He was followed by Shemika Vaughn, senior class president, who passed the ring heritage to the junior class. Mr. Willie Haynes delivered the principal's message, and Mrs. Marie Bush served as hostess for the evening. Refreshments were served following the ceremony, compliments of Sue Girouard and Herff Jones.
