NCHS Honors Retired Educators

On Dec.14 retired educators from District Five gathered at North Central High School for Christmas Dinner with Principal Raymond Duplechain. Our guests were Julia Auzenne, Evelyn Pickett, and Pearl Cobbs from Morrow; Vera Riggs, Pete Antie, and Ed Aguillard from Melville; Maude Southhall and Marie Romar from Palmetto; and Rosemary Sylvester and Huey Hawkins from Opelousas. After enjoying a Christmas feast specially prepared by our NCHS cooks, our guests were invited to the NCHS Christmas Program in the school auditorium where they were introduced to the student body and then entertained by the OHS choir and NCHS players' performance of The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry. Although these educators have retired, they are not forgotten, and we recognize their years of hard work and dedication to the children of our district. They are always welcome at North Central High School.
