| North Central High School Junior Beta recently attended the Junior Beta Convention at the Cajun Dome in Lafayette on May 2-3 with over 11,000 other Junior Beta Members, sponsors , and chaperones. It was a marvelous experience for our club. Three club members (Ashley Kilcrease-Photograpy participant, Caina Munson-1st Place District Creative Writing Participant, and Melissa Boudreaux-Cross-stitiching participant) participated in some of the contests. One member, Melissa Boudreaux, a freshman honor roll student, won first place in the Cross-stitching contest and has been invited to participate in the National Junior Beta Convention. Melissa will go to Orlando, Florida on June 23-26 to compete. This year has been a great, successful, and fun filled year for the Junior Beta Club members. The club has received great support and help from Principal Raymond Duplechain, club sponsor-Melissa Noel, parents of club members, area businesses, chaperones-Mr. and Mrs. Beard, and other faculty/school board members. |
