Anke Dahms, an exchange student at North Central High School from Lubeck, Germany, has been chosen through rigorous auditions to perform in the 1998 Louisiana All-State Orchestra. Anke has been chosen to play in the first violin section during the Louisiana Music Educators Association's Conference at the Raddison Hotel in Baton Rouge on November 20-23. Upon arrival Anke will again audition for principal violinist. The group will perform orchestral selections such as Pique Dame Overture, Fidellio Overture, Toccata, Catskill Legend, and Saturday Night Waltz. Her host parents are Timothy and Donna Bush of Lebeau, LA.
